What better way to celebrate Earth Day than by enjoying the beauty of peaceful woodlands, waving prairie grasses, babbling streams and scenic ponds? Take in all the wonder of these northeast Ohio habitats during an early morning run/walk on The Wilderness Center’s trails on April 22nd as we celebrate Earth Day 2017 with the TWC Wilderness Run.

The TWC Wilderness Run 5k will be a chip-timed race beginning at 9:30 a.m. along the Wilderness Walk and Pioneer Path trails. The cost of registration includes a race event t-shirt and after-race refreshments, and proceeds benefit the education and conservation efforts of The Wilderness Center. A 1 mile Fun Run will also be held around Wilderness Lake at 9:00 a.m. for those who would prefer a shorter distance. Walkers are welcome to participate in both races, so bring the whole family!
Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers overall, as well as the top male and female finishers in each age group: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
