Nearly 200 people attended a rally Saturday evening in Wooster’s downtown area to remember the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. The 5:00 PM rally, which was organized by the Wooster-Orrville NAACP and the Wayne County Racial Justice Coalition, had multiple speakers that read passages from Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis. The August 28th, 1963 event is probably most famous for Martin Luther King Jr’s “I have a dream” speech.
