26-year old from Akron gets life for killing Wooster man

An Akron man was in court yesterday, where he pleaded guilty to murdering a man from Wooster.  26-year old Sonny Howard shot and killed 37-year old Daniel Jones in January of last year while Jones was simply walking along a street in Akron.  Howard, who admitted that he was high on meth at the time and hadn’t slept in a week, told police that he mistook Jones for someone who had broken into his apartment.  After entering his plea, Howard was sentenced to 16 years to life in prison.
