An Akron man was given 15 years to life in prison on Wednesday for a hit and run crash that claimed the life of a Wooster man last March.  28-year old Daniel Shmigal was sentenced after pleading guilty to charges of murder and aggravated vehicular assault.  Authorities say Shmigal ran down 33-year old Charles Holden, of Wooster, and 29-year old Derek Smith, of Barberton, out of jealousy because he thought one of them may have been involved with his estranged wife.  Holden was killed, while Smith survived.  Shmigal also told police that he was, in his own words, on a “three-day meth bender” at the time of the fatal crash.
