An antique counter weighing more than 600 pounds has been stolen from the Nature Preserve in Rittman.  With the help of a generous donation, the nature preserve was able to purchase the 1853 general store counter and was planning on using it as a lab work area for students at its new environmental education center.  The 15-foot long counter, which required a 16-foot trailer and the help of six men to get it to the preserve, was last seen on March 25.  A $1,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the counter’s recovery.
