87-year old Creston man killed in one-vehicle crash

A one-vehicle accident yesterday afternoon claimed the life of an elderly Creston man.  According to the Highway Patrol, 87-year old Robert Glessner was traveling on Friendsville Road, just south of Jentes Road, when his vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and crashed into a ditch.  Glessner was taken to the hospital, where emergency surgery was performed, but he passed away last night about six hours after the crash.  Glessner becomes Wayne County’s second traffic fatality of 2020.  The crash remains under investigation.
