AG Kruger, a three-time Olympian, was named the next track and field coach for Ashland University earlier today.

Kruger, 43, spent 13 years at Ashland as the strength and conditioning coach and the throws coach for the Eagles. Most recently, Kruger was the throws coach at South Dakota from 2015 – 2022.

Al King, Athletic Director at Ashland University, stated how excited he was to have Kruger become the next coach for the Eagles, calling it “a calling” for Kruger.

Kruger was a summer Olympian for Team USA in 2004, 2008 and 2012 and takes over for gold medal Olympian and National Champion head coach Jud Logan, who passed away in January.
