Abatement approved for Walnut Creek Foods expansion

In Holmes County, commissioners have approved a 10-year, 50 percent tax abatement for Walnut Creek Foods.  The abatement will allow the company to move forward with a $3 million expansion project that will double the size of its manufacturing facility on State Route 39.  The expansion will also create 15 new jobs over the next three years.  Construction is expected begin sometime this spring.
