Akron Children’s Hospital celebrated the opening this week of its new health center at the north end of Wooster. The center, located on Friendsville Road, officially opened its doors to the public on Tuesday. Hospital officials say the building offers pediatric primary care, along with office space for pediatric cardiology and gastroenterology practices. The new Wooster location is part of a regional initiative at Akron Children’s to bring its services closer to the families that need them.
