An Akron man was arrested last week in connection to a fire that destroyed a city owned storage barn in Medina. 23 year-old Tristan Rosen was arrested on September 3rd following a lengthy investigation into the fire, which was set on June 6th at the storage facility on East Smith Road in Medina. The building, which housed the Santa’s House, a decoration used during the city’s Candlelight Walk, were destroyed along with all its contents, which was all valued at $100,000. The investigation pointed towards Rosen, who eventually admitted to starting the fire. Rosen is charged with a felony count of aggravated arson and felony count of arson, and is being held at the Medina County Jail awaiting trial.
