An Akron man was sentenced to federal prison for his role in the overdose death of a woman in Wadsworth last year. 27 year-old Dayviaire Rogers was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison on multiple charges, including distribution of fentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute. Rogers was charged after selling fentanyl to Kellie Simmons, formerly of Wooster, who was working as a bartender in Wadsworth. Simmons died after she overdosed on the drug in March of 2019.
