A fire district in Holmes County has been awarded a combined loan and grant investment so that it can purchase a new fire tanker. The money, totaling $335,000, is being made available to the Western Holmes Fire District through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The fire district provides services for the village of Nashville, along with parts of five different townships.
