Ashland City Council approved a contract modification related to their wastewater treatment plant project. Council agreed to add another half a million dollars to the contract to bring the plant into compliance with new standards from the Ohio EPA. The wastewater treatment plant must meet new phosphorus discharge standards by next April. The added money needed brings the total for the project to $3.8 million from$3.3 million.
