The Ashland County Fair is getting financial help from the state to make some needed upgrades.  It was announced on Monday, as part of Ohio’s County and Independent Fair Grant Program, that the Ashland County Fair will receive more than $106,000 for improvements.  Fair officials say the funds will be used to pay for new roofs on the green merchants building, the dairy barn and the fairgrounds’ Swine barn & arena.  The new roof on the merchants building will be put on next month, while the dairy and swine barns won’t get their new roofs until after the fair, which will take place in September.
