The Ashland County Health Department is set to receive a $16,000 grant from the state that will help fund a new parent safety education program. The program covers topics such as proper car seat installation, as well as infant and early childhood nutrition. Statewide, more than $400,000 has been earmarked for the Early Childhood Safety Initiative pilot project.
