A motorcycle accident in Ashland County over the weekend claimed the life of one person and injured another. The crash happened Sunday afternoon on U.S. Route 42 when the motorcycle went off the right side of the roadway. The 68-year old driver was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries, while the passenger, who was also 68, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Highway Patrol, neither person was wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation.
