The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office has now requested a BCI investigation into the fatal shooting of a 63-year-old man involving some of the department’s deputies. The incident took place Saturday night at a home in the 200 block of US 250 in Rowsburg. Deputies were called to the home just before 8 p.m. and found the man sitting in the backyard.  That’s when officials say he threw his cell phone to the ground and confronted deputies with what they say was “deadly force” causing deputies to “return fire” striking and killing the man. No deputies were injured during the incident. The case remains under investigation.
