The Ashland man accused of threatening his mother with a straight razor and charging an officer last March has changed his plea in Ashland County Common Pleas Court. 24 year-old Cory Dye changed his plea to guilty Tuesday to a second degree felony charge of assault. As part of the change of plea two other charges, domestic violence, and felonious assault, were dropped. Dye will be sentenced on June 1st, and could face a maximum of 8 years in prison.
