Ashland man sentenced to life for killing wife

An Ashland man was sentenced to life in prison on Friday for killing his wife last year. 39 year-old Arick Hlovac changed his plea in Ashland County Common Pleas Court Friday from not guilty to guilty in the shooting death of 33 year-old Charity Hlovac at the Stoney Creek Apartments in Ashland. Hlovac was sentenced to life in prison with an option for parole after 33 years, and if released he would have to register as a violent offender.
