An Ashland couple has been convicted of animal cruelty charges after authorities removed over 50 dogs from their home.  Thomas Morris and Kelleigh Dotson each pleaded guilty to ten counts against them.  Even though each count carries up to 90 days in jail, the prosecutor is not recommending any jail time saying their concern was rescuing the animals and making sure the pair aren’t able to possess, own and live with any animals again.  The Ashland County Humane Society says that all but two of the 16 dogs that remain in their care have been adopted.  The others were taken to various protective leagues in northern Ohio.
