The City of Ashland was one of many recipients of grant money that will help keep their public transit system funded. The city was granted just over $504,000 from the Ohio Department of Transportation to go towards the transit system, which has helped to provide over 23,000 rides this year to over 300 people. The money was part of $105 million that was awarded to various communities for transit systems.
