The 7th Congressional District will see incumbent Bob Gibbs run unopposed come March. The filing deadline for candidates was last week, and two other candidates filed to run, but were found to have invalid signatures on petitions, meaning the Republican will not have an opponent on the ballot in the March primary. The 7th District for the U.S. House of Representatives includes all of Holmes and Ashland Counties, as well as parts of Richland, Medina and Stark Counties.
