Cleveland is not expected to play wide receiver Amari Cooper against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football with a groin issue.
Cooper suffered a groin/hamstring injury in practice on Saturday in preparation for the Steelers. In the off-season, Cooper had core muscle surgery and felt 100 percent coming into the season. The Browns listed Cooper as questionable to play on Monday, but it now looks like he’s more so doubtful.
It is a big hit for Cleveland, who will now be without their No. 1 wide receiver in Pittsburgh. The Browns will now have Elijah Moore and Donovan Peoples-Jones as the top two wideouts. This injury presents an opportunity for rookie Cedric Tillman, who you can bet will have his first catch in Week 2.
