The Cleveland Browns are expected to talk to free agent DT Shelby Harris.
Harris would fill a need, as the Browns really don’t have a second starting defensive tackle that they can rely on at the moment. Dalvin Tomlinson will have one spot locked down but there are plenty of questions after that. Last year it was Jordan Elliott starting but so far in his career he’s looked better suited to be depth.
Harris recently started 15 games for the Seattle Seahawks last year and could be the guy the Browns need, as he fits the bill. Since 2019, every game the 31-year-old has played in he has started. Harris is capable of getting a couple of sacks a season but he’s best at stopping the run.
Before ending up in Seattle last year, Harris spent the previous five years with the Denver Broncos.
Currently put, the Browns have rookie Siaki Ika, Tommy Togiai, Maurice Hurst, and Trysten Hill battling for a spot on the inside. Perrion Winfrey was a part of that group until he was cut.
