In the first round, the Browns took Alabama left tackle Jedrick Wills, who will replace Greg Robinson. They then found a steal in the second round with LSU safety Grant Delpit, who many projected as a first-round talent. In the third round, they bolstered their defensive front with with Missouri DT Jordan Elliott and LSU LB Jacob Phillips.

In the back half of the draft, Cleveland took Mackey Award-winner Harrison Bryant (Florida Atlantic) as a new tight end for Baker Mayfield, Nick Harris (Washington) to bolster depth at center and Donovan Peoples-Jones (Michigan) to hopefully become the No. 3 receiver behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.
