The No. 5-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Youngstown State Penguins at home on Saturday by a final score of 35-7.
For Ohio State (2-0), quarterback Kyle McCord completed 14/20 passes for 258 yards with three touchdowns. Quarterback Devin Brown also saw playing time, completing 7/13 passes for 101 yards.
Running back TreVeyon Henderson had five carries for 56 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Miyan Williams had six carries for 25 yards.
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had a great day with seven catches for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka had five catches for 94 yards and a touchdown, while wide receiver Julian Fleming had three catches for 25 yards.
Defensively, the Buckeyes allowed 234 total yards of offense to the Penguins. The Buckeye defense also forced the only turnover of the game, due to cornerback Denzel Burke getting an interception in the 3rd quarter.
The Buckeyes will next be at home against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Saturday, September 16th, with kick-off time set for 4:00 p.m.
