The Ohio State Buckeyes fell to the Minnesota Golden Gophers at home on Thursday night by a final score of 70-67, marking the third straight loss for Ohio State and the first conference win for Minnesota this season.
For Ohio State (10-6), freshman forward Brice Sensabugh led the Buckeyes with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while senior forward Justice Sueing had 13 points and five rebounds. Senior guard Sean McNeil had 11 points, and freshman guard Bruce Thorton and junior forward Zed Key both had 10 points.
For Minnesota (7-8), sophomore forward Dawson Garcia had a team-high 28 points and also grabbed nine rebounds. Junior guard Ta’lon Cooper had 13 points, junior forward Jamison Battle had 11 points and freshman forward Pharrel Payne had 10 points.
The Buckeyes will next be on the road to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Sunday, January 15th, with tip-off set for 2:15 p.m.
