The No. 24-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes fell to the No. 1-ranked Purdue Boilermakers at home on Thursday night by a final score of 71-69.

For Ohio State (10-4), freshman forward Brice Sensabaugh scored a team-high 21 points and had five rebounds, while senior forward Justice Sueing scored 15 points and had four rebounds. Both players were the only two who scored in double-figures for the Buckeyes.

For Purdue (14-1), junior center Zach Edey and freshman guard Braden Smith both scored a team-high 16 points, with Eday also grabbing 11 rebounds and Smith dishing out six assists. Freshman guard Fletcher Loyer had 11 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer in the final minute, and junior guard Ethan Morton scoring 10 points.

The Buckeyes will next be on the road to take on the Maryland Terrapins on Sunday, January 8th, with tip-off set for 1 p.m.
