The Ashland University Board of Trustees voted at a recent meeting to extend the contract of Carlos Campo, the university’s president, by an additional year.

Campo, who has been the president of Ashland University since June of 2015, is now under contract for the position until at least May of 2025.

Jim Hess, Chair of the Board of Trustees, stated that the extension is considered an additional one-year option and believes that adding an additional year to Campo’s contract can continue the good work that the university has undergone.

In a statement, Campo said that he is pleased to be at Ashland University and is privileged to serve the students, faculty, staff and board members at the university.
