The State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle accident Friday night just north of Dalton that resulted in roughly 1,400 people temporarily losing their power. Authorities say that a woman was driving her car with passengers inside going northbound on State Route 94 near Rudy Road, when she apparently either fell asleep behind the wheel or blacked out, then went off the right side of the road and crashed into a utility pole. The pole reportedly wasn’t damaged , but the impact of the crash disconnected the main power line. All of the passengers of the vehicle were sent to Aultman Hospital in Orrville, but no one was seriously injured in the accident.
