The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics at home on Wednesday by a final score of 114-113 in overtime. The win is the second straight overtime game win against Boston, with the first coming on October 28th by a final of 132-123, and also marks the sixth straight win for the Cavaliers this season.

For Cleveland (6-1), point guard Darius Garland, who saw his first game back since an eye injury in the season opener, recorded a double-double with a team-high 29 points and 12 assists. Guard Donovan Mitchell also had a big night with 25 points and six assists, while center Jarrett Allen recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

For Boston (4-3), guard Jaylen Brown led all scorers with 30 points while also grabbing eight rebounds and All-Star forward Jayson Tatum who had a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, guard Marcus Smart, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, recorded 16 points with six rebounds and five assists.

The Cavaliers will next be on the road on Friday, November 4th, to take on the Detroit Pistons with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
