The Cleveland Cavaliers have claimed forward Alfonzo McKinnie off waivers, Cavaliers General Manager Koby Altman announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts. McKinnie played in four games (two starts) with the Golden State Warriors this preseason before being waived on Oct. 19.

McKinnie (6-8, 215) appeared in 72 games (five starts) with the Warriors in 2018-19, averaging 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game. He also competed in 22 playoff contests (one start) during Golden State’s 2019 NBA Finals run, averaging 3.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per game. The Wisconsin-Green Bay product, who originally went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, owns career averages of 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per game over 86 career contests (five starts) with Golden State and Toronto.

Cleveland’s roster now stands at 16, including two Two-Way players.
