An 18-year old from Wayne County is making his mark in the world of competitive bunker trap shooting.  William Browning, who graduated from Chippewa High School last May, finished sixth last month at a USA Shooting World Team selection match in Tucson, Arizona.  Coupled with his results from an earlier match in Michigan, Browning earned a spot on Team USA and will be traveling to France next month to compete in a world match.  Browning, at only 18, is the only junior on the men’s team.  Four of his five teammates are members of the prestigious U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, while the fifth is last year’s world champion.  At the event in France, Browning will shoot singles and mixed doubles with a member of the USA women’s shooting team.
