A Chippewa High School student will take part in the Scripps National Spelling Bee thanks to winning the regional spelling bee in Akron over the weekend. After 23 rounds of competition Andrew Yeager was able to come away with the victory after successfully spelling genteel and then winning on the word noxious. Yeager now moves on to the national spelling bee, which will have the early rounds taking place online, but 10 to 12 finalists will move on to the televised competition, which will take place at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
