The Chippewa Local School Board has started the process of putting their five-year income tax renewal levy on the ballot this fall. The levy was turned down by voters last month. Chippewa says that without the levy there would be massive cuts across the board in the district. There are several steps before it officially makes it on the November ballot. The 1% income tax levy covers roughly around 15% of the district’s annual budget.
