Chlorine leak in Shreve causes evacuations but no one harmed

A chlorine gas leak at the Shreve Water Treatment Plant caused evacuations on Wednesday. An operator at the plant accidently disconnected the tank, but immediately closed the doors and called 911. Clinton Township Fire shut the tank off, while the Wayne and Ashland County hazmat teams secured the scene. Residents, most of whom were not home, in a quarter mile radius were evacuated. No one was hurt in the incident.
