Wooster City Council this week gave its approval to purchase three properties near the Community Center. The plan is to expand the Community Center, which would mean the buildings on the three pieces of property would be torn down. However, it will still be about two years before any construction begins on the project, as the city will need to secure funding for the project. Altogether the city will pay nearly $200,000 for the three properties, with two of the properties closing sale in December.
