The City of Medina’s Finance Committee approved a yearly donation of $10,000 to the Medina County SPCA at its latest meeting. The money will go a long way in helping with operations for the SPCA, as the organization continues to go out and collecting stray and feral animals to have them spayed or neutered and at times adopted. However, some of the animals collected are euthanized. An ordinance is currently being written in the city of Medina to ask residents to not feed deer in the city, and Mayor Dennis Hanwell has asked that adding feral cats into that ordinance as well to try and cut down on the city’s feral cat problem.
