The city of Orrville’s compost center will open up for the season next month. The center, which is located on Apple Avenue, will officially open for the season on Wednesday, April 3rd. Hours will be 7:30-11:15am and 12:15-3:15pm on Wednesdays, and then 8am-noon on Saturdays. Items accepted include only materials that will compost, such as leaves, grass, branches, shrub trimmings and trees. Limited amounts of free leaf mulch and woods chips are also available for noncommercial use. The center is free, but open only to Orrville residents.
