The College of Wooster is partnering with Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for a program to greatly benefit those in need and students looking to get into the field.
With the EMT certification program, students from the college will be able to get authentic, hands-on experience in health care while the hospice organization will be able to increase the EMT staff.
According to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, ambulance transportation for hospice patients is one of the most common requirements and a need for more EMTs was necessary.
The EMT Training Internship will be through Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, but the training course will be with the Wayne County Fire and Rescue Organization, giving students academic credit as well.
