Commissioners approve proposal to reduce speed on pair of area roads

Wayne County Commissioners have unanimously approved a proposal to lower the speed limit on a pair of roads in Plain Township.  The proposal calls for the speed limit to be dropped from 55 mph to 45 mph on a mile-long stretch of West Old Lincoln Way, between Elyria and Funk roads, and on Elyria Road, between Blachleyville and McKee roads.  ODOT, which has final say on the matter, will now review the county’s proposal.
