Construction is underway in Kidron on a new $2.6 million fire station.  The nearly 15,000-square-foot structure is being built on the site of the village’s former fire station, which was demolished in April.  Fire officials say the new station will feature a wash bay, office space and a large meeting room, as well as sleeping quarters, a kitchen and an exercise room.  Until the new station is finished, the department will continue to operate out of a nearby building.
