New coronavirus cases are up in Ohio in the week ending Sunday, rising nearly 30% as 24,465 cases were reported. The previous week had 18,838 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.
Ohio ranked 34th among the states where coronavirus was spreading the fastest on a per-person basis,
Wayne County reported 166 cases in the latest week. A week earlier, it had reported 140 cases. Throughout the pandemic it has reported 24,614 cases and 443 deaths.
Holmes County reported 20 cases and zero deaths in the latest week. A week earlier, it had reported 13 cases and zero deaths. Throughout the pandemic it has reported 5,255 cases and 184 deaths.
No deaths were reported in either county.
