City council members in Wooster have unanimously approved the Wooster Brush Company’s request for a ten-year, 75% tax abatement.  The agreement allows Wooster Brush to move forward with a major expansion project at a new industrial park located in the northeast corner of the city.  The project, which will reportedly cost between $18 and $24 million, involves the construction of a roughly 500,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility.  The company says the expansion will lead to the relocation of 50 employees, as well as the hiring of 25 new employees.
