Thanks to several large projects on this year’s schedule, Wayne County is increasing its appropriations for 2020. County Commissioners approved a resolution on Friday to set aside $128 million in appropriations, which is a five percent increase over last year. Some of the projects planned for this year include renovations to the Wayne County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ bus garage, the relocation of the county’s emergency dispatch services and the taxiway project at the Wayne County Airport.
