Wayne County Commissioners are now looking for a construction manager for the county’s jail expansion and renovation project. The plan is to build a new jail in the parking lot of the current jail and remodel the current jail. It is a two-phase renovation and expansion project estimated at $33 million. The company hired as construction manager will work with plans and specifications set forth from the architects already assigned. The first phase of the project is planned for next year.
