Despite a nearly nine percent statewide increase in new COVID cases last week, Wayne County reported a slight decline. Wayne County reported 158 new cases last week, eight fewer than the week before. Holmes County, meanwhile, saw a very small increase with 27 cases, which was seven more than the previous week. All told, Ohio reported more than 26,000 new cases of COVID last week, but no coronavirus fatalities.
