A Level 3 storm travel advisory has been activated in Holmes County amid the overnight storms that moved through the region.

This advisory means that “roadways are closed to travel by any means other than emergency vehicles at this time,” according to a Facebook post from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.

Over 10,000 customers of Holmes-Wayne Electric Co-operative are without power at this time.  That number is almost 2/3 of their total number of people served by the co-operative.

AEP reportedly has close to 10,000 customers in Wayne and Holmes counties with power at this time according to their outage maps.
