Dalton teachers get raises in new contract

Dalton school teachers will be getting a raise.  As part of a three year contract approved by the school board, members of the Dalton Local Education Association will receive a 2% base salary increase each year of the new deal.  The district is waiting to hear from the state about guidance for the new school year. Plans for learning will be discussed at the next board meeting. Based on survey results from parents, the district anticipates many students will be in the classroom, with distancing and increased sanitation, but there will be some families who will want their children to learn remotely.
