Thanks to the work of the Medina County Scam Squad, a defendant accused of preying on an elderly woman is now facing criminal charges. Raldane Cunningham is charged with two counts of telecommunication fraud, both of which are third-degree felonies. Investigators began looking into the matter back in December when Medina Township Police received a call from a man claiming his 80-year-old mother had been scammed out of more than $100,000. Fortunately, authorities were able to recover all of the victim’s money.
